Vidnova is dedicated to supporting Ukrainian civil society. We are building bridges, navigating relationships, enabling sustainable collaborations with civil society actors and organizations in Ukraine and other European countries. “Vidnova” in Ukrainian means “recovery”.
Vidnova Education is designed to support Ukrainians working in diaspora organizations or initatives connected to Ukraine in Germany by providing a learning format which can help enhance their organizational development, internal process facilitation, and operational efficiency.
Vidnova Lab is a networking program for actors of Ukrainian civil society that focuses on ecosystem mapping and prototyping of solutions dedicated to recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.
Vidnova Fellowship is an individually designed support program for displaced civil society actors from Ukraine that enables them to continue their work and collaborate with other partner organizations.
Two years into the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we already know that we have a long run ahead and that the Ukrainian civil society, in its pivotal role, needs international resources, attention, and support more than ever. This journal touches upon questions connected to Ukraine’s recovery that we find important to raise.
At the beginning of 2024, the Vidnova program consisted of two program lines: Vidnova Fellowship and Vidnova Lab. In our publication Vidnova Storyline, we detail how each program line came about, its impact on the fellows, and their project ideas. In addition, we shine a light on what we have learned as an organization and where we are headed.
