Recovery efforts in Ukraine do not stop, despite the endless amount of tasks and huge lack of human and financial resources. Ukraine’s civil society thrives on diverse acts, being inside and outside the country. Many people are working in Ukraine but live elsewhere. Many teams are shrinking as their members are joining the army.
With Vidnova Placement we offer support for Ukraine-based organizations and initiatives that are in need and want to host professionals from civil society living in wider Europe. We also invite diverse civil society actors for short and long term stays in Ukraine that tangibly contribute to the work of Ukrainian host organizations. The Placements allow for the reconnecting of teams that are separated by distance, as well as for sustaining teams that lack resources.
We are looking for organizations and initiatives based in Ukraine that have a lack of human resources and specific expertise and would like to host Ukrainian or international experts from wider Europe (European Union, Norway, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Iceland, Lichtenstein and Moldova).
We are happy to welcome applications from already existing teams that have been temporarily or permanently working remotely or from teams that would like to work with an external specialist in person.
A host organization or initiative that is based in Ukraine
A fellow – an expert who would like to work in the host organization in person and is based in wider Europe
The host organization and the fellow have to agree on the placement before submitting the applications and state each other’s names in the form while applying. It is sufficient enough if only one party – either the host or the fellow – will apply with the respective budget proposal. Both parties choose together who will be the main applicant.
NGO For Ukraine is applying as a host and states Ms. Oksana Bloom as an expert who will work with this organization for three weeks in person.
By analogy, if Ms. Bloom is initiating the placement, she states NGO For Ukraine as a host while filling in the application form for fellows.
The application for Vidnova Placement requires sending a CV of the fellow (maximum two pages) and a budget proposal for the placement.
After receiving all documents, as a part of the pre-selection process, an application follow-up Zoom call will take place with Vidnova coordinators, the fellows as well as the representatives of the host organization.
Placement is an in-person stay in Ukraine which includes work in a Ukrainian organization operating on-site. A fellow can visit the host organization in two durations:
We offer the following financial support for the host organizations and the fellows to make the Placement possible:
The final sum of the funding will be based on the precise budget of each application.
Total pot available for all the placements in three waves:
